A photographs displayed in multi-opening mats across five plexi-glass frames. The photographs, taken in primarily in film (4x5, 120 mm, and 35 film formats), document moments of distance and connection with a family.
The framing is inspired by a multi-opening mat in plexi frame from the artist’s grandfather’s house. The artist distributed the original mat openings across five frames- making sure that each mat had an oval/circle opening. The piece’s title references Mary Ainsworth’s iconic 1970s psychology study that developed into attachment theory.
